This year, we’ll be leaving this site open for sign-ups throughout the event, so you’ll be able to sign up here to play games all weekend, and you’ll check in at the beginning of each session when you sit down to play.
After the Battle of Yavin, Rebel fervor has exploded across the Galaxy and one large rebel cell, the Aqua Strike Group, has decided to launch a long-planned assault on the Imperial Instillation occupying the world of Lauros Prime. You, are Omicron Squad a member of Aqua Strike Group's 1st Spec-Ops Platoon, and the rebel cells principle Special Forces Recon team.
As part of the Strike Group's overall Invasion Plan, Alliance High Command has sent a team of Intelligence Agents to extract sensitive imperial data using the attack as a distraction. Your squad was originally tasked with an initial undercover insertion into the enemy facility. You had 2 primary objectives, sabotage the facility's primary anti-air cannons and its tie fighter deployment capabilities and escort the Alliance's operatives to and from their objective.
Having done your best to sabotage the Imperial Instillation, and with the invasion begun in earnest, Aqua Strike Group command issued orders for your Elite Spec-Ops team withdraw from the enemy instillation and move to flank enemy positions currently causing issues for the nearby Rebel forces. Supplied with combat retrofitted civilian vehicles. You have spent the last several days making your way from point to point engaging the enemy and completing objectives assisting the invading rebel ground forces until you received orders to hunker down, hold your ground and await further contact.
Soon you will receive new orders, and in the coming battle all of the challenges you have faced, whatever progress you and your squad have made, and the objectives you have completed will be judged, and whatever tactical skills you have developed will be put to the test. Make no mistake, even if you have been successful up to this point, in this last stand you will have to make hard decisions, and if you have failed in your previous tasks, a reckoning will come. Do you have what it takes to stand your ground, no matter the cost, can you hold the line?
